The Associate of Science in Human Services is an introductory level academic program designed to teach students how to meet human needs through an interdisciplinary knowledge base, focusing on prevention as well as remediation of problems and maintaining a commitment to improving overall quality of life of service populations. Developed through discussion and collaboration with human service leaders, the program integrates theory with practice through field-based experiences.

The Addictions Counseling cognate is comprised of three courses (nine credits) that are specifically designed to help prepare students for the academic requirements of the Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) credential from the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP). This is a highly credible professional credential for Counselors.

Exercise Science: Cardiovascular Rehabilitation

Designed to train you to serve patients who have experienced a heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery, or are at risk for such an event, cardiac rehabilitation is a hospital-supported rehabilitation program.

The TESOL Graduate Diploma is a 25 credit-hour program for those with a bachelor's degree who wish to teach English to speakers of other languages.
Urban Cohort
In an effort to serve as a transformational influence in West Michigan, Grand Rapids Theological Seminary of Cornerstone University initiated the Urban Cohort Program in the fall of 2008.
