Your influence matters.

At Cornerstone University, we are committed to equipping adult learners to achieve their goals and make a difference in their world. We understand that your life is about balancing priorities—family, faith, work and personal growth. That's why our degree programs are offered one course at a time in a convenient on-campus or online format so you can work and study full time.

If you're interested in discovering how a program at Cornerstone can equip you to get to where you want to be, our admissions process is designed to provide you with the information you need to start your program with confidence.

Step 1: Meet Your Enrollment Counselor

The best way to explore your interest in Cornerstone is to meet with your personal enrollment counselor. From your meeting, we hope you come away with more confidence and excitement about how a degree can make a difference in your life. During your appointment, you and your counselor will:

  • Walk through your motivations and goals for returning to school.
  • Discuss your educational background and any credits you can transfer for your program.
  • Review financial aid and payment options available for you to make this investment in your goals.
  • Talk through each stage of the application process, as well as other requirements you'll need to fulfill for admission consideration.

You can meet with your counselor on campus for an in-person visit, by phone or through a video call program like Google Hangouts or Zoom. With any method, we encourage you to connect with your counselor to be assured in your next steps.

Step 2: Complete Your Application

Completing an online application is an easy step to join a program. Our application for admission involves setting up a secure account and responding to questions such as your educational goals, what program you'd like to join, contact information and how you plan on paying for this investment.

Your application requires a non-refundable $25 application fee—except for non-degree seeking or readmitted students; our doctoral program application requires a $50 fee. This fee affirms your level of commitment to join the program and pursue your goals. And, if on your application you recommend a friend to consider joining a program at PGS, you'll have an opportunity to waive that application fee.

Step 3: Request Transcripts

Requesting transcripts is an important step in the enrollment process. A transcript is documentation of your permanent academic record, which usually means all courses you've taken, all grades and honors you've received and degrees conferred to you. An official transcript is an agreement among colleges and universities that verifies your good financial standing and that you haven't altered or tampered with your transcript before Cornerstone receives it.

As a new applicant, you'll need your official transcripts from all colleges you've attended or courses you have been registered for to add to your admission file. An official transcript is a transcript that is received from a secure authenticated designated party (e.g., eScrip, National Student Clearinghouse or Parchment) or from the institution where you got your degree or credits. For a transcript to be considered official, it must arrive in a sealed envelope addressed to the university and have validation from your institution by meeting these additional criteria:

  • Institution seal.
  • Logo or watermark.
  • Date.
  • Signature.

We provide you the service of requesting your transcripts and covering your transcript fees on your behalf so you'll have one less thing to worry about in returning to school. All you need to do is let your enrollment counselor know, sign a transcript release form and we'll request your transcript from your previous institution. We'll let you know if your previous school requires you to request for the transcript yourself.

Step 4: Fill Out the Student Financial Success Guide

To begin your program on the right financial track, we ask that you complete the online Student Financial Success Guide. This required form provides you with important information on financial policies at Cornerstone such as payment options and the use of financial aid. This guide is essential in setting you up for financial success as you make this investment.

In this guide, you'll be able to select your payment method(s), from cash to employer billing to military funding to financial aid. As you journey through the form, remember that your enrollment counselor is available to walk you through each step of the guide and answer any questions.
